Dental Assistant

A dental assistant performs both internal and technical skills.  They assist the dental operator by providing better dental treatment . They prepare patients and their work area before getting started with the required procedures .

Duties and responsibilities: Some of the duties of dental assistants are : Making sure they are well seated and comfortable in the dental chair , sterilize dental instruments , They will often help  the dentist by handing them dentist instruments  during procedures , instruct patients about proper oral hygiene , schedule patients appointments etc..

Education : Dental assisting programs are typically 1 year diploma or certificate programs , Postsecondary non-degree award

Detailed oriented , Dexterity , Interpersonal skills , Listening skills , and Organizational skills

Reflection : A dental assistant is  very hardworking , has a lot of responsibilities to complete as an assistant. In my opinion personally I would not like to become a dental assistant because I want to major in the  criminology field. It is very important for anyone who wants to become a dental assistant to know the great  responsibility it takes . A dental assistant is a very interesting career for those who really want to be dentists . Overall It is a great job and I enjoyed researching this career.
