Honestly this statement is very true , it applies to many of our lives because it explains the consequences of lying and what it leads to . Many people are confident they can get away with any lie , some people are able to  but some are not. Sooner or later lies catch up to you and the only person it affects is you because it makes you look dishonest. The moment people see that you are a liar they soon start to realize you can't be trusted. It is a horrible feeling when people don’t trust you because it makes you feel like you are not important . What a great feeling you get when people look at you and think what an honest person he/she is . Nobody wants a bad name upon them because that sets you up for a bad reputation . In my opinion I like when people look at me and tell me that I am a honest person because it makes me feel better about myself . At the end of the day a lie leads to another and you are going to keep lying over and over . Just be honest and don’t live in a world where you are afraid and worried when you lie . When you lie you close the door of all good in your life.

In many occasions I have experienced the “The sting of the scorpion “ The reference of this is when you suffer the consequences because you chose to disobey the rules . Having your items and freedom taken for you is a bad experience and It doesn't feel good when all the privileges are being taken from you . There is a boy named Elder Patrick , his family when on a camping trip to the dessert. The boy’s parents told him he was not allowed to walk barefoot outside but he refused and because of his laziness he decides just to wear sandals . He leaves the campground wearing sandals and as he is wondering offa  scorpion stings his foot . He can't bear the pain so he starts to scream as he cries out for help . His parents rushed towards him and put him in a car . They soon had to drive to the nearest hospital which was two hours away . Patrick suffered the consequences because he disobeyed his parents when they said to not walk barefoot . When your parents tell you to not do something it is not because they want to bother you it is because they most likely have gone through it or they just know better . When my parents tell me to do something I do it because they know what is best for me and all they want to do is see me succeed . As a teenager I know I can make mistakes because I’m human and everyone makes mistakes. I often try to take the advice that my parents give me because most of the time they are right .

This statement has a straight forward message , it means you need to chose what is right every time you are making a decision. When you make good decisions not only do they bring peace you also feel relaxed . When you are choosing to make good decisions you will be greatly benefited from it because you chose to do what is best. Some examples of choosing the right thing to do is if you see a kid that needs help with there books you can choose the right thing to do and you can help him with his books . Even if you see someone that you can help you can always ask " Would you like some help " if they don't need it they wil just simply say no , they will appreciate that you wanted to help . When you are to others they will respect you and have good thoughts about you. in my opinion when I choose to make good decisions I feel good about myself knowing that am a help to others around me .

This is a very true statement and it means It is better to be alone and doing the right thing than be with a group of people doing the wrong thing . You are better off hanging out with people who show you how to be a better person and know how to choose the right thing .  If you choose to be around those who do the wrong thing and don’t  know how to make right decisions then you are better off by yourself . It is not a sad thing if you are alone in certain times because you are trying to stay out of trouble , you are the one who is doing the right thing and how will be benefiting from it . When I am around my friends I stay out of trouble because trouble only brings me problems and I like to be relaxed . For example if there is a group of kids who are encouraging another kid to consume an alcoholic beverage the kid simply needs to say no thank you and walk away. Many times we often call the people we associate with “friends” but real friends want to see you succeed and see you doing the right thing , they will get you out of trouble when they see you doing the wrong thing . Staying home and staying out of trouble is better than going out to a party where you know there is going to be temptations .

World War 2 started in the years 1939-1945 . The locations  that  were involved in this war was  Europe , Pacific , Atlantic , Southeast Asia , China , Middle East , Mediterranean , and Northern Africa . Some of the events that occurred in world war 2 is Italy under the leadership of Prime Minister Minister Benito Mussolini invades Ethiopia , President Franklin D Roosevelt signs the 1937 Neutrality Act  , Franklin D Roosevelt forbids U.S ships from carrying arms to China or Japan , Japanese war planes dive bomb the american boat “Panay” in the Yangtze River . Many frightening events occurred in World War 2 , there are many ways we can show respect and honor to these events that fought in World War 2. The way we can show these veterans respect is to salute them and thank them for their service to our country .

3. I do treat people the way I want to be treated because I treat others the way they treat me . If I show respect I like to be given respect . I give others what I want to be given in return 

Those would be my answers if I was asked this question in an occasions . These questions are very good questions and get you to think about your actions and the way other people see what you do . Always choosing the right thing in all occasions because doing the right is key to success. These questions are very important to remember and they are good questions to ask yourself when your having doubts or are confused about doing the right thing . This statement is a very good statement and I will look back at the questions often to see where I stand in terms of right and wrong .

        Challenges Teens Face Today

1. Several of the challenges teenagers face today would be bullying , drugs, gangs , alcohol  , poverty , getting in trouble.
2. One of the major challenges for me is to not procrastinate when I know I have to do something . To improve this I will not save anything for later I will do what I have to do and as fast as possible to get finished.
3. The way CTR  helps me when I need to overcome challenges is I remember that choosing the right leads to benefit and privileges when It comes to doing the right thing.
4. The way I can help teens overcome challenges is by offering a helping hand to them . I can also sit down and talk to them and try to get reasoning with them . If I can't do anything I can always consult anyone who I know can help in this situation .

                        

Reflection : Teenagers face many problems whether it is in school , house , or outside . There are many ways to help those teens who need help and there are many options . I am a teen and at time I do face hard challenges but I have learned to overcome them . The way I know what to do is by what I know is the right thing to do .

Physical Fitness

This statement by John F Kennedy is a very true statement the reason for that is because he is explaining any one can accomplish great things when your a healthy and determined . A person who has an unclean heart because of drugs and other unhealthy substances will not succeed . The person that will succeed is the person who stays away from the unclean things and maintains a healthy life style not just mentally but in everything they do . I agree with this statement because it applies to every single individual . Instead of learning bad things it is better to learn skills and be productive throughout the day finding new ways to be helpful either to your family or society .

Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and responsibilities : Medical librarians direct and work with patient health care and help physicians and professionals research to stay in tact with the developments in their speciality areas . They also work with patients and consumers who need assistance of health information . They teach health care providers how to access and evaluate information .

Education : An undergraduate degree , Undergraduate courses of biology , medical sciences and medical technology , PHD , any secondary degrees , business and management degree

Demand for this profession : Must have a master of library and information science with an ALA  program

Reflection : In my opinion I think this is an interesting career but I want to major in the criminology field and that is what I want to study .

This statement by Joseph B Wirthlin is a very true statement and is very self explanatory . The reason for that is because when you are kind to others it shows your have a great amount of respect for yourself and for those around you . Kindness shows you were raised with manners and it show a lot about who you are . The way you show others who you are is by the way you act and by the way you approach others . Many people notice that people who are rude were not raised with good enough manners and grew up in an unstable home . In my opinion when you are kind to others they are kind to you . It is important to know the way you treat others is the same way they are going to treat you .

                        Thanksgiving Week

I really enjoyed my thanksgiving break it was  fun and I did many things . It was a relief not having to wake up so early for school and I was able to be in bed as long as I wanted to . This week was a great week I spend a lot of my time with my loved ones and I thank God for giving me that opportunity . The friday we were in school before our thanksgiving break started I went to see the JV and Varsity soccer game with a couple of my friends . I was able to go to and see some old friends from my old school and was reunited with them . I spent my thanksgiving break with my family and I helped my mom make the food and we had a wonderful time together . My sister came over from vegas and e got to spend time with her on thanksgiving . I am very thankful for my family and for an opportunity of spending quality time with them and know they can help me when I am in need of help . My uncle took my brother , my sister and me to see the laker vs the chicago bulls at staples center . We got food and then when off to see the game at 6 . I was able to go Black friday shopping and got some things I have been wanting to get . I also helped my mom around the house with chores and finished some of my thanksgiving break homework . I also went over to a friends house and got some of my math homework done at her house that was difficult for me to complete . Overall I had an amazing thanksgiving break and was glad we had the chance to take a break off from school and have some time for ourselves .

This statement by William is very Implicit . The reason for that is because he is saying the way you behave or the way you express yourself says a lot about what kind of person you are . In my opinion the way a person acts speaks a lot about the kind of people they are . The people who have a disrespectful behavior shows they were not raised with proper manners in their household . People who want respect should give respect , the way you want to be treated is the way you should treat others . I can honestly say that I was raised with manners and treat not just my elders with respect but everyone who I associate with in general . For example if their is a teacher speaking and a student decides to cut her off and talk over him/her that is rude and disrespectful . An example of good manners would always be remembering to say “please” and “thank you “ . My parents raised me with manners and thanks to that I know how to treat others and show that I have manners . If you want people to look at you and see that you have manners you need to treat them with respect . Not just in certain occasions but apply it and use it in your everyday life  . A person with great manners is a great person and a person with no manners is a disrespectful person . If you see someone who does not have manners teach them what you know and show them how to be a proper person with good manners . It’s not just about speaking correctly but it is about the reputation you set upon yourself.

If you are going to say something that is a lie it is better to stop and say the truth . After on lie comes another and another and it does not change unless the truth is spoken out . It is best to keep your distance from all the  negative things that are coming into your life . Choosing the right thing to do will get you to many places and you will benefit from it. For example if someone is trying to get you to do something you know is bad whether it is drugs, stealing , vandalizing etc . You need to learn how to say no and stay as far away from it as possible . Making bad choices leads to bad actions and that will only bring your life trouble and you will start to notice all the negative in your life . Follow those who bring peace and guidance in you life because those are the people that are going to help you be a successful person . Keep this statement by Marcus Aurelius in mind and never forget what a powerful message this brings to us .

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday to spend time with your family . The first thanksgivings was first started in England with the pilgrims . This happened when a ship named the Mayflower left Plymouth England . These passengers were seeking a new home after many days of searching they dropped anchor at Massachusetts Bay . After long suffering due to the lack of resources a Abenaki Indian greeted them to English . The indians helped them and taught them many things . After the Pilgrims first corn harvest resulted successfully they organized a feast . Then in 1789 George Washington issued the first Thanksgiving by the national government of the United States . New York became one of the first of the several states to officially adopt this holiday as an annual thanksgiving holiday . The american tradition now is to make a wide variety of meals and spend time with your loved ones .

I have done many things and they would include being honest and responsible . In order to obtain a good name for yourself is by doing the right thing . It is always best to chose the right thing to do instead of making bad decisions and ending up in a lot of trouble . Even if you lose and think you failed think of the good that you did instead of focusing on the negative . If you tried your hardest and played fairly who won should not matter there is always second chances .  It is always best to look at yourself and be proud of who you are . Remember that anyone can do great things it just takes a person who is determined and who has faith in themselves . Greatness comes in those who try and set their mind for something great. There is not doubt in my mind that anyone can do great things .

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a anniversary holiday at the end of world war one , honoring U.S veterans who have fought in all wars

Veterans Day is November 11

The purpose of veterans day is it gives america the opportunity to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of all U.S veterans

It is important to show honor on Veterans Day because it shows respect for those U.S veterans who have sacrificed and fought for us to live in freedom. Those veterans need to be recognized for their bravery .

We can show honor and respect to those U.S veterans by saying thank you if we see a veteran ,  salute soldiers if you see them

    

Veterans is important to me because it shows respect for those who have served in the armed forces . I have great respect for those who have fought for our country and who have lost it all to give america its all. This day is  a day to show appreciation and gratitude for our active U.S veterans and our retired U.S veterans . If i see a U.S veteran i will make sure to give him/her a proper salute and thank them for their service to our country .

This statement means  you should be responsible for your actions because the only one who made you do it was yourself . We chose are own actions and we are the only ones held for our actions . 

It is important to chose our who we associate with wisely because if we are hanging around the wrong people and you chose to do the same bad things they are doing we will not be able to excuse ourselves because we make decisions for ourselves. If you end up in a situation when you are with your friends and they all decide to make bad actions you will have to learn how to say no . Staying out of trouble means more privileges for yourself . In my opinion I chose to stay out of trouble because I do not want to get my freedom taken away . This is a very important statement to remember when you try to excuse yourself from your bad actions . This statement applies to anyone who has or plans to excuse themselves . I agree with this quote and has a great message to those who will learn from it .

These are three very important things to apply in your everyday life , The reason these are very important to remember is because there is always going to be temptation in our surroundings and we need to learn how to confront it so we don't make  wrong decisions . For all our actions we will either get a positive outcome or we will get a negative one . When we are making these kinds of decisions we can have a good outcome or a negative one . It is always best to stay out of trouble that way you can obtain your freedom . It is bad to consume drugs and alcohol sooner or later you will end up regretting it .  Save yourself all the trouble and learn how to respond to these bad temptations . Even if everyone is around you doing the wrong thing you must stand up for what is right even if everyone is against the right thing . The friends that encourage you to make wrong decisions are not your friends . This is a very clear stated passage of text that is being given to us . What this passage means to me is to choose who your friends are very carefully . There are just as many good people as their are bad people , the good people will seek success and the bad people will already have set up their own failure. You need to stay away from those doing wrong because eventually they will influence you and can even peer pressure you to do something you do not  want to do .  I can honestly say this is a very well said text , it tells us what we are and what we become once we chose our friends . The friends looking to succeed will help you get to far places unlike the bad friends who will bring you  down with them . An example of this would be Friday after school your friends invite you to a party and you know there will be drugs and alcohol and you still decided to go because your friends kept telling you to go . Those friends will end up telling you to try drugs an alcohol at the party . It can be very dangerous what you consume at this party because you do not know how it will affect you but you say yes and do it anyway . Those kinds of people do not deserve to be your friends if the only thing they are doing is digging up our own grave . However if you chose the good people who choose the right thing they will help you succeed and get to successful places . The good will always be good and the bad will always be bad , it is always good to chose what you know is beneficial and right .

If you don't like the way you are living and maybe want to change do it for the good . It is never to late or something who wants to change in order to become a good person and make good decisions. Recreation is not only for some people it is for everyone therefore it is good to make a change in your life style.There is a lot of privileges and benefits when you chose to do the right thing and change . As i read this quote I think of how i have applied this to my life and my decisions .

In my opinion this statement means even though everyone chooses to do the wrong does not make it right . Everyone can be against doing the right thing but that should not stop you from doing the right thing . I do believe people can influence you either in a positive way and also in a negative way. It is best to associate with people that make good decisions because they are a part of how you make your decisions. The right thing will always no matter what it will the right thing and the wrong will always be wrong . We all know the difference between right and wrong because we are aware of our good decisions and our bad ones. We all need to learn how to stand up for the right thing and not just stay quiet because everyone chooses otherwise .

I will apply this to my everyday life because I have set  big goals for my future and the only way to accomplish those goals is to be focused and determined right now . I have excellent grades and plan to maintain those grades . The way I will accomplish that is if I make the right choices and decisions now . Peter gave up a lot of things he wanted and instead thought about his future and look at where he is now . Peter is a great example of the outcome of hard work and dedication . With great work comes great success , In order to be something big you first must practice. Before you are a leader you must first learn how to become a follower .

Homecoming 2016

School homecoming is a tradition of welcoming back former students and celebrating a school’s existence.

Homecoming is an annual tradition in the United States.  Appalachian has celebrated the homecoming for as long as anyone can remember . The modern version of our homecoming traditions began in 1996 when Chancellor Borkowski appointed a campus wide committee to bring unity and coordination to the multiple events sponsored every year by Alumni Affairs , Student Programs ,Athletics , Ambassadors and so on .

The reason we celebrate homecoming in schools is because those who return to their high school for homecoming after having graduated do so to celebrate their high school , see old friends and remember memories of that time of their lives. Students who are currently in high school celebrate  homecoming to show school spirit and support for students to be more involved in school .

There are many events like homecoming these events would be football games , club activities , prom , junior ball , etc…

The reason it is called a homecoming game is  because It is a football game followed by a semi formal dance.

The homecoming Etiquette which takes place every fall is a very important high school event

In my opinion, homecoming is an event to support the school spirit and bring motivation to the high school students . Homecoming is optional and many people go and many do not go and nothing is wrong with that because it is just a semi formal dance. I am not going to go because it is simply just a dance and it is not really special .

I rather have people know me for how I am rather than them just know me for my money . I recognized as a good person and  a very honest person as well . I like for my name tp be spoken with respect and that is what makes me happy .

This quote is refers to the fact that people are scared to be different they are afraid of what people might say or think . When you are deciding whether you should do something good or do something bad just stop and think on how those actions are going to benefit you . There is people who like to follow what others do , you need to be role model and show others that it is okay to say no or not want to make bad choices . When you say no to bad decisions you are setting an example to those around you . Telling others to make right decisions and to stay away from the wrong influences is a very good thing . However if they decide to take bad actions that is not your problem because you already told them but you can also keep looking out for them . In my opinion this quote to me is a very self explanatory statement. The message it sends out is to not be afraid to say no to your friends when they urge you to take certain actions . It is okay if when you chose the right thing to do your the only one who is standing up for the right . As long as you are setting an example for others and for yourself.

Duties and Responsibilities: Homicide detectives will be sent out to evaluate crime scenes . They will gather all the evidence of the crime scene . The CSI will be working with them and both will figure out what occurred in the event . The homicide detective takes control of the crime scene and will often examine the victim . They will record all evidence before moving or altering anything . A homicide detective will also have a cold case team . Homicide units are constantly looking for new techniques to solve crimes .

Reflection : I really enjoyed researching this career because this is the field I want to be in . This is very interesting to me , the reason for that is I like to solve conflict problems and issues . This has moved me to become a criminal investigator . I have wanted this career for many years and I will work on it until I am in that position .

Choosing the right has helped me stay out of trouble and helped me become a better student and daughter . I live by this motto because it has helped me in so many different ways . No one will be able to accuse you of anything or get you in trouble because you have been choosing to do the right things the right way . Many people can agree that they have become better people and citizens by following this motto .

Environmental Health Specialists have many different job titles . They also can work in different facilities such as Private corporations,International organizations , non profit organizations etc .This person will inspect certain facilities like restaurants to see if there food and working areas are sanitized .

Duties and Responsibilities : A few of an EH responsibilities would be to review permits, Monitoring , perform inspections, and review certain investigating complaints and collect and interpret data

Salary :  $36,310 - $102,610

Education : Must receive a bachelor's degree, certified through professional organizations , complete an internship and any specialized training

Demand for this profession : Masters degree

         

Reflection : When I first heard about this career I kind of thought it was like a food critic. This job is a very interesting career because it helps others be in a healthy safe environment . This requires a lot of training and you must be a very observatory person .  In my opinion I would not like to study this career because I want to major in criminology and become a criminal investigator .
